Month 3 is officially here! We kicked off this month with a travel day from Nicaragua that was supposed to be a short time of 8 hours only to be held at customs in leaving the country for 5 hours! We left Nicaragua feeling a bit discouraged and tired from the long wait but that wasn’t stopping us from continuously trusting in the Lord with it. As we made our way into Honduras we got stopped at a police station where our bus broke down minutes later. Minutes became another 6 hours of waiting. As our new bus set off on to find our hostel the bus driver got lost for another 30 minutes! The entire trip became a total of 21 hours! It was an adventure for the books! As much of a difficult day it had been, it was an adventure that we would never forget and a time where we really needed to press into the discomfort and be joyful through it all!
For ministry this month we are teachers! Our ministry is at a Christian school that is called Loyalty School. I am teaching math and science to grades 7th,8th and 9th. The Lord has placed a few girls in my class to mentor and its been wonderful to see how God’s already been moving through those friendships. As our first week of teaching has finished we will have one week left before all the students have a few weeks off for Christmas break! During the last week we will hopefully be able to go out into the communities and evangelize through serving in various ways. This week has been a wonderful week as we are incredibly blessed with our hosts and the comforts of a bed and home cooked meals!
Please continue to keep our team/squad in your prayers as Honduras is a very dangerous country. There are also many other squad mates that have also not met their financial deadline and need a lot of prayer in trusting that God will provide!
