Hello all.  I just wanted to send out a quick blog update so you know that I am doing well.  I have been sick the last few days so I am just getting out of bed.  But, I am on the mend.  As you can tell, by reading squad member blogs, we had an adventurous time getting into the country of Haiti but it was a tremendous blessing to watch a bus full of young “Americans” tell the devil to get out of the way and worship their way into the country of Haiti.
I have been blessed every step of the way by our ministry contacts; last month I got to spend a month in the desert of Azua, Dominican Republic where the Lord’s streams of living water flow throughout the barrio and this month I have found myself at the Promised Land of Canaan.  This orphanage is run by some of the most amazing people and I love listening as Sister Gladys talks of her heart for this generation and how they will change the face of Haiti forever.  No more voodoo, no more witchcraft, no more putting God on the back burner or doubting what He is doing…this “alternative society” is a city on a hill.  I can’t wait to share more, and I am working on several blogs…hopefully to be posted soon.  Pray that the internet holds up for all of us down here; it’s not really what one would call reliable.  Also pray for protection for our teams as we are fairly spread out this month and communication does not come easy here; we have found not much else comes easy here either.  Thanks for your prayers!
