Today was our first official adventure in Swaziland.
Tim, one of the AIM staff, worked it out for us all to be able to go on a safari today.
  We had a great time.
The last safari I was on was my last trip to Malawi when our boat ran out of gas just a few feet from a family of hippo.
Needless to say, we were all a little nervous after that experience.

I had no idea what to expect this time, but we hoped that the animals would be in the mood to be seen.
  We were not disappointed!
We were able to see elephants, an entire lion pride, a rhino and her baby, lots of birds, and some type of antelope.
(I can’t remember what our guide called them.)
I think my favorite part was the lion pride.
The Lion was so majestic and he made me think of Aslan and my God, the Lion of Judah.
It was powerful to be in the presence of an animal so beautiful and so totally fierce at the same time.
My whole team got to experience it all together.
We had our own truck and really got to enjoy time spent together.
We have found it difficult, with all the training we are still going through, to be able to just hang out.
We are all making lists of questions we want to ask one another and group decisions that have to be made.
We are supposed to have a free afternoon tomorrow so hopefully we can use that time wisely.

Last night, Tom Davis spoke to us about leadership and how to lead properly.
He shared some of his own past and how he, with God using others in his life, has been able to step out from under habits and natures that were created as protection when he didn’t feel safe.
He asked us to think about how we handle someone confronting us and what our reactions are.
After thinking about it, we were to pray for understanding about the root of that reaction.
It is an interesting assignment I think you guys should think about too.
So often we don’t realize that when we have a problem with another person it is usually an issue that we have.
So, take some time to think about those questions and then ask God to bring His body into your life to help support you through change, I know I am!

Clinton, from the B squad, led worship last night and the last song he sang was one that is a life song for me.
“Sit with you awhile” by Dennis Jernigan was the song and as he began to play I was reminded that God put that song in my mind during prayer time the night before when we were asking God to help us move into a daughter/son relationship with him instead of just a child relationship.
Clinton and I talked later about the song and discovered that God had put it on our hearts at the same time, what an awesome God we serve that He thinks even about the music we need to hear and when to hear it!

Getting back to today, half our group has gone into town and the other half is on the safari so I am going to try to hop in the bathroom and get a warm shower?!
  Hopefully!
Did I mention that we have 80 people using 2 showers and 3 bathrooms?
  Communal living at it’s closest.
This is already an adventure of a lifetime.

Sorry there are no pictures right now.  I am having problems with my internet and antivirus software.  I will get some up as soon as I can get things figured out.
