and his name shall be Christopher…

Being with my son is the best Christmas gift I could ever ask for. Most spend their holidays with there child, but as for me, I am blessed to be able to visit mine. (

Christopher

is now 16 years old and very talented. It just amazes me every time I think about it! Today Christopher was invited to play at a local church a Brass Quintet band for the Christmas Eve service. You see him pictured here driving us to the church. Ok, that blows my mind! The church was small and quaint. Located in a small town, this Presbyterian Church was age-old but still full of Life.

When we got there, his (band) friends were already there. They are left to right, Jimmy, John, Stephanie, Christopher (my son), and Thomas.

You are currently looking at some very special youth. They all love the Lord and seek ways to serve him in the church. I am so blessed and at peace with who Chris hangs with.

As they were warming up, the congregation began to flow in. I sat alone in the pews waiting for the service to begin. It was really different being at this church where I knew absolutely no one. WEIRD!

The first song that they opened with was “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming.” I had tears running down my face listening to my son. It was the very first time I have ever been able to hear Christopher play in a public setting. I was so blessed sitting there by myself; in fact, I would not have wanted it any other way! Through out the service they played the rest of their list. The people sang along to Jingle Bells, and then they ended with Carol of The Bells. The congregation clapped and cheered. I was the proud momma of a very sweet young man. It was such a blessing to hear and see the multitudes go up to him/them and thank them for their amazing show. It was a great night, one that I will remember for the rest of my life!
