I spent the day reflecting on Psalm 43:3
Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain.

I sat on the balcony that overlooks the mountains surrounding Mutare. I am still in awe of the beauty that exists here and I continue to praise HIM. I began to think about the sacredness of mountains. How they were considered to be GOD’s holy dwelling place. I can see why. They are towering displays of HIS glory and strength. They aren’t easy to climb so there is effort involved to reach the top. And the top, allows one to see over all. They are just so majestic. And it is easy to feel HIS presence when surrounded by these mountains. But it isn’t what surrounds me that should bring me to worship HIM. If I were in a desolate area, would my heart continue to worship and adore HIM? Would I still praise HIS name? Would I still feel HIS presence?

I began to think about the dwelling place of GOD and HE led me to 1 John 4:13-16

We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

HE is within us. We are HIS dwelling place. It does not matter where we are, what we are facing, for GOD is within us and that should always bring us to worship HIM, to praise HIM. HIS light, truth, and guidance comes from within. We don’t need to strive to try to achieve HIS Love or to reach HIM, but to move only in the Love HE stirs from within as it overflows to all those around and in all we do. Where is GOD? HE is in all things. He is before you, behind you, beside you.

HE is within you!
