Her name is Roselyn. She is one of the children involved in the feeding program in Mutare, Zimbabwe. And the first time we met, I instantly felt her heart. She lit up the entire area with her smile and the way she cared for the other orphans. She is a young child, but she seems older in her ways. She is quiet, but her actions speak louder than any words she may utter. I watched her from a distance as she gave portions of her meal to two other children who had already finished their meal yet were still hungry. She gave what she had, so that they would be satisfied. And her eyes speak nothing but gratitude for the way she is satisfied.
At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written: “He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. 2 Corinthians 8:14-15
Thanks to a group of care takers who gather together to cook sudza and beans for the 100+ orphans, our time was spent eating and playing with the children. Some rested in our arms, while others gathered around to teach us Shona and laugh at our pronunciation. But they listened intently as we spoke the Truth of GOD’s Love for them and the strength HE has placed in them. These days with the children were definitely full of laughter as we all shared our knowledge and Love with one another.

It was incredible to be surrounded by such little ones, but I found myself beginning to build relationships with some of the care takers as well. There was something very compassionate about them. A sense of community exuded from them as they cared for the little ones and for each other. I would sit with them, thanking them for the food, speaking the little shona that I had learned, and just learning more about their culture, their struggles, and their joys. They are my sisters. And they know what it means to give.

There is plenty…
