In 2005, I made my way to visit my friend Karissa as she served at Eden’s Children Village in Zimbabwe. It was during that visit, that GOD increased my passion for serving the nations. HIS call became stronger on my heart, and I could no longer deny it. HE wrecked me for anything else. And I absolutely praise HIM for that.

My heart was captivated by HIM, and HIS love for all of us. HE gave me a heart for Zimbabwe, and I have continually tried to keep up with all that the country is facing. HE has led me in prayer for the country, and now…

HE leads me back!

Gentle Warriors will be serving right across the border of Mozambique, in Zimbabwe. This is definitely an answered prayer. You see, last year, my travels took me through Zimbabwe during the “elections” and my heart broke and I longed to do something. Hope was gone. And despair was present. And all I could do was pray. Little did I know GOD was preparing my way back to serve.

We will be working with families displaced by the government. What does that look like? We are not exactly sure. We do know that GOD will be using us to Love, encourage, and surround our brothers and sisters with support. We will be working with an organization that is teaching the families skills to sustain and provide for themselves.

Add to that the fact that we will most likely be tenting, and you know my heart is rejoicing!

This does mean that internet may not be available. But as often as it is, I will be in communication. Please pray for team unity, as it is my first month serving with the Gentle Warriors. God, teach me how to serve my team. Please pray for safe travels. Today we all begin the journey with a 20 hour bus ride into Mozambique. Then, we rest. Gentle Warriors will then travel with 2 other teams on a 13 hour bus ride. Then, we rest with Tikvah at an orphanage for a day or two. Our contact will then pick up my team and take us into Zimbabwe.  Please pray for preparation of our hearts as HE leads us in serving those facing so much turmoil.

Let us dance for HIM and praise HIM in the midst of it all!
