Here are some photos from our time in Cambodia.  I worked at a school teaching English to first graders and high school students.  We also had the opportunity to visit Angkor Wat- one of the seven wonders of the world. Enjoy ๐Ÿ™‚

My first grade class. I taught English to these students.

We helped the students meet their parents after school was over. The school was run by the church we were working with.  He wanted us to be out there to help the kids so that the parents would see the “American teachers.”  This was apparently good publicity for the school ๐Ÿ™‚

The school/church building.  it is under a lot of construction as you can see.  Construction went on during school all day everyday.  It made me laugh, since this would not have happened in America.  While I was teaching, we would hear the banging of hammers, the hum of saws, and see dirt being shoveled off the roof…

ANGKOR WATThe main temple. There are tons of temples on these grounds. One could spend days touring this place…we only saw a few temples.

The following photos are all of the main temple.

This temple was my favorite. It is called Ta Pruhn (sp?).  The movie, Tomb Raider, was filmed here.  The trees are amazing ๐Ÿ™‚
