THIS RACE IS MUCH MORE THAN JUST A MISSIONS TRIP-

There have been a great many things that have influenced my
life while on this race… God has chosen
this year to altar my identity to resemble His own and for my heart to beat in
His rythem. God has picked out 5
specific people to infiltrate my every moment of life. Blessed is the only word that fits the state
that I am in. My brothers and sisters
have beautiful hearts and truthful minds. What matters to me- each of them.
What is the condition of their
heart, how they perceive life of the past and present, and their prayers filled
with hopes and desires of the future, etc.

These deepening relationships have a strong foundation to
continue as long as life will be lived. Sharing ourselves with each other will ‘look’ different post race but we
have vowed to be in covenant with one another for life. God is so good and let me share how my team
loves with their whole self.

Rocio (arroz pollo) stands strongly in her anointing following her heart and discernment
from God to speak life into others and has the most contagious, loud, joyful
laugh.. ever heard & heard for miles

Speaking of Miles
(MT)… he is a good Shepard, he genuinely handles the hearts of others with
great care and wisdom; though sometimes he can knock you socks off by being
such a practical jokster

Taryn (the queen)
pouring truth over us lovingly, living confidently in Christ knowing that she
can do all things in Him; and in those moments serving as our comic relief of
the obvious.

Cameron (Cam) Filling
our life with sounds of worship and entertainment, he is always striving to be
one in spirit with God and through that he is growing into a proficing worship
leader; a man who seeks adventure and puts Indiana Jones to shame

Nick (o-li) recognizes
what others need and with a servants heart blesses others with that needed
grace; he is rising into a strong spiritual leader and when the appropriate
time is presented he always brings a sarcastic comment in good humor and fun.

Please check out their blogs, they are spiritually
transparent for the Lord and convey truth, life and awakening in every
post.

God is truly in EVERYTHING, especially the unknown to
us. Cameron worked with the team Gentle
Warriors (an all girls team) just for this month for safety. He was greatly missed but knowing it was Gods
will, there was peace and even prosperity in unifying us all.

God wont relent until He has it all… our hearts. What’s beautiful about this community of
racers (H Squad) is that our life revolves around giving up ourselves and
living for Him. We absolutely work
tirelessly on the mission field, but we also see that the mission field is
EVERYWHERE.

In our personal lives we have experienced sweet pain- that
is giving up what has consumed us in order to let God lead us and fill us. Deceptions of Rejection, comparison, control,
perversion, pride, valueless, etc had to be brought to the light, purged and
then to live in healing. Even figuring
where the root was planted caused pain, some generational passing, others
abusive situations, and so on… but its amazing to me how our team/squad has
invested in God, themselves, and each other.

Realizing that we are all the same, not one mistake is any
worse than any other accident because there is never a perfect person who has
everything put together all the time. Everyone has to confess and repent, and that’s just being obedient; God
calls us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER not to be perfect. BE OBEDIENT to the TRUTH! Being
perfect isn’t even an option- otherwise where would grace, mercy and faith come
into God’s plan?

I realized that I am obsessed with LOVE. I pray about matters of the heart much of my
days and nights. Trusting and believing
that God will answer prayers; He does, always.

Growing in my relationship with God, I have begun to feel
complete and fulfilled.     What quenches
the love in your heart?

Being raw and real has been abundant in our team. Love pours out of our hearts, truthful words
are filling our mouths, obedience in our actions… sweet pain- life- how else to
define what it is?

This race allows us to live in this way. When we are integrated with other groups
(others staying in the same hostile or ministry and such) every time we have
been told by someone that we “look” different than other groups. I just recently understood on a much deeper
level what that meant. No doubt, we have
chosen into this covenant, we are pressing into the persons God is making us
into, etc. The mattering fact of ‘what’ we represent and ‘what’ makes us
different…. Is just that, its not us at all- we are attempting to live as God
intended for man to live, koinonia (the spiritual union of Christian fellowship
in encouraging community- which is also our team name)

Well, I have to go for now… God provided a real steak dinner
with all the fixings! Yep, poor
missionaries we are really tuffing it out this month with a beautiful sea-side
view on the mountains in Georgetown/ Cape Town, South Africa- God always provides!
