This month is going to be full of some major GBT (Girl Bonding Time).  Why is that?  Good question.  Because I’m on an all-girls team for the month!!  For the month of June (our final month) the boys and girls are split up doing separate ministries.  I am excited to announce that my girls (Holland, Beks and Les) are joining up with Hope’s girls (Melanie, Michelle, Emily and Anna) as well as our squad leader Brandy.  We have dubbed ourselves Team Put On Love after Colossians 3:12-17.  Here’s our team picture:

We will be working with an organization called SHE (Self Help and Empowerment).  Here is what it says on their website http://www.shethailand.org/:

“Started in 2006, SHE (Self Help and
Empowerment) is a
Christian charity committed to helping women and children at risk in
Thailand, many of whom are trapped in the commercial sex trade. SHE is
dedicated to providing employment, vocational training and counseling
for women who want to help themselves out of this industry. All
proceeds go directly to helping them find employment, community,
friendship, restoration, and above all restoration of their own value.
Mark, Sharon, and visiting teams spend most nights building
relationships with women working in the hundreds of bars in Phuket,
Thailand. Once a relationship is established after a few visits, Mark
& Sharon share the vision of SHE with the women and let them
know that there is a way out: they can have a salaried job making
jewelry with SHE if they are interested. The only condition of
employment is that they must quit their job at the bar completely.”

We leave today (the 2nd) and head to Phuket Thailand where SHE is located.  It’s a long bus ride (12-14 hours so please be praying for safety as we travel.  Also be praying for our team to be unified, for good communication, divine appointments, and for God to really move.  I am so excited for this month.  I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us!

Love you all so much.  BIg hug.
