Hello from Pader Uganda!!
This will be brief but I wanted to let everyone know we’re still alive and doing well. 🙂
I’m fairly certain that you could deem where we are living this month “the bush” of Africa. There are a few NGOs around the area which is the only source of electricity and internet in the village. The village is somewhat in survival mode from the war the devastated this area for years. Most of the people here are just trying to get by with the limited resources that are here.
The team is doing well except for the fact that Beks has been diagnosed with malaria. Please keep her in your prayers. The heat is insane here so she is pretty uncomfortable. Don’t worry though, we’re taking good care of her.
Ministry here has been really good…we’ve been doing lots of door to door evangelism which has resulted in tons of really good conversations with people. Quick story, Beks, Dan and I went into one hut where the woman had given birth to a baby 4 HOURS earlier and she let us name her newborn son! Talk about crazy. We’ve also done morning devotions with local businesses which has been really cool. I’ve really enjoyed being able to get to know people throughout the community.
I’ll write a longer blog later but I wanted to give everyone a brief update.
