Hello
from Nairobi! We are currently in
Kenya’s capital for a “mid-race” debrief.
It’s crazy to think we only have 5 months left!
We
are heading to Uganda on Sunday night to go to the northern most part of Uganda
on the border of Sudan. We don’t know much but we know we there is a
Sudanese refugee camp there that we will be working with. We think we
will be doing door to door ministry again but it will look a lot different than
last month since most of the people have never heard the gospel before. Many
of the people have HIV/AIDS so we will be working with them as well. We
will be also working in a primary school (we think) and possibly an orphanage.
There
is a high risk of malaria and typhoid and there are tons of HIV/AIDS
outbreaks daily so prayers for health will definitely be needed.
The
church we’re working with is small – about 50 people – and has only been around
for 2 years. There is “limited to no internet” so I may not be
able to communicate to anyone for the month.
We will be there until the 24th.
I
am so excited for this next month and can’t wait to see the big things that God
has in store for me as well as my team and the people we work with. Please remember us in prayer while we head
into our 7th month!
