I had the pleasure to meet on my fellow August World Racers last weekend when I was down in Minneapolis…PRAISE GOD for another Minnesotan!! I’m excited to have a travel buddy to and from training camp!
We met at one of our favorite restaurants, Panera…
and had a great time getting to know each other face to face! Her parents also came along to meet my parents which was awesome not only for our parents to meet and be connected to other parents who are sending their kids out on the mission field, but also to see the kind of people who raised Martha. Her parents are clearly both Godly people who are encouraging and motivating to live like Christ. I am so glad my parents have fellow parents to be able to chat with throughout the upcoming year.
To give you a glimpse of the kind of person Martha is, here is part of her bio:

eyes so I could see opportunities to be kind, His arms to reach out to
those around me, His feet to go to the places He would see fit to go,
His thoughts to think wholesome and pure thoughts, His words to speak
encouragement and kindness, His attitudes to live a life of love and
joy, His heart to have His kind of compassion, and His love to share to
the world. I wanted to be just like Jesus.”

I love people who aren’t afraid to hug and that is exactly what Martha did when I walked through the door of Panera…I got a big hug! Martha is an amazing, genuine person with a kind heart and I am so excited to share more laughs, memories, and this incredible adventure with her!
