Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My name is Jenn!

And I am really excited to see what kind of exciting life changing adventures God has planned for The World Race team in September.

I never thought that I would be going around the world. It gives me courage to know that Jesus has gone before me, behind me and is inside me. I am putting my trust in God alone. He is my Rock!

I grew up in Vancouver, Canada. I was brought up knowing about God. It was not until I was in my late teens that I discovered that this God that I knew about wanted to know me too. My life up until this point was spent knowing about God. I thought of God as a cold and distant God. I came to a point in my life where I wanted more and the stuff I was stuffing myself with was only making the emptiness worse. In a desperate need for more. God revealed to me that I did not know Him. That he wanted a personal relationship with me. God continued to persue me, even when I was turning to other means to fill the empty space inside of me. I still struggle daily to surrender all that I am to God so that He can continue to fill me with His living love. God has put a desire in me to know him more and more. I know that God is the only one that can turn a sinner like me, into a new creation. When I let the Lord love me. I recieved amazing grace that put a passion in me to share it with others. I know that the Lord has called me to go. (Go: move along, make way, be moving; depart; elapse; be kept, put, be able to be put; result; contribute to a result; tend to; become. Energy and vigor.) I am filled with a God given joy to see, hear and be used in what the Lord is doing all over the world with people who are no different from me, broken and ready to receive love from God, who sacrificed his only son, Jesus, to save the world.

I graduated with my Early Childhood Education from Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC. I love children. God has taught me so much through children. I work with 3 and 4 year olds. They are so much fun and so precious.

The Lord has stirred my heart with a passion for the Nations. Vancouver is a very multicultural and I love it. I have a new energy when I meet people from different places. I love hearing peoples stories and sharing life with them. The Lord led me to go on a missions’ trip. I went to Egypt a couple of years ago. The people in Egypt are amazing and I fell in love with them. I came back stretched and challenged. I experienced first hand the joy that comes from the Lord alone. He renewed my love for the people around me and gave me new ears and eyes to where I am now. I also had an opportunity to go to Alabama to help with disaster relief. Again the people touched my heart and the relationships that were formed in the short time really confirmed when God says go (long or short) go~! He uses us and does what is most often thought to be impossible.

I love travelling.

I enjoy creating new things in the Kitchen. (Some brave souls try the creations)

I like different cultures and there food.

I like painting and sculpting.

I love spending time with family and friends.

I like the outdoors.

I do ski, taking up snowboarding this year, have to enjoy the beautiful mountains.

I love talking to strangers, even though I tell the children I work with not too;-)

Community, leadership and systems interest me.

I love being challenged and surprised.
