Switzerland is Beautiful!!

I have always said that Switzerland is one the most breathtaking places i have ever been…but being back here reminds me how very true that is.  We are in a small town between Lusanne and Geneva, over looking Lake Geneva.  From our back yard we can see the majestic peak, Monte Blanc and at night the twinkling lights across the lake reveal just how close we are to France.
We have only been here 24 hours…but we have already been so blessed by the YWAM staff and DTS students here.  We immediately felt at home here in our chalet and this morning we went right to work, helping with various projects around the base.  There is plenty of time for great conversations while working, and we already feel like we have connected and made great friends with everyone here.  Our time here will be short, but we are already wondering if we can extend our stay even a few more days.
Mel and my first task of the day was to peel and chop 30 pounds of carrots!!  A local farmer donates to the YWAM base all of his carrots and potatoes that aren’t up to snuff for the market.  It was fun to be in a kitchen again…felt right at home 🙂
Lins, Dave and Steph got their hands dirty digging up what will be a flower bed along a rock wall.  In just one day, it is already looking really nice!
This is the houes we are living in for the next 10 days or so.  A very typical looking Swiss house.
