Hi friends!
As you have probably figured out, I’m Jennie!
Where do I begin? I’m (currently) 22 years old and come from the great state of North Carolina! I am a 2014 graduate of Anderson University (Anderson, IN) and am planning to begin my Masters of Divinity at Anderson in the fall. Above is my favorite quote from Lord of the Rings, and it’s the quote of this journey for me!
Some things that you need to know about me:
I love Jesus. I strive to serve him daily and follow his teachings. I would NOT be doing this if it weren’t for him!
I love my family. They encourage me, love me, and make me funnier (as if that were possible).
I love my friends. I love community!
People are my passion. I have been called to serve “the least of these” and I will serve them in whatever capacity I can.
If you’re witty and can keep up with my humor, chances are we will be friends.
(Who am I kidding? I probably still want to be your friend.)
I’m incredibly awkward… you know, in an endearing way.
I love Lord of the Rings/ JRR Tolkien/ and anything CS Lewis.
If you ask me for a book reference, I’ll probably direct you towards anything by two authors: Donald Miller & Shauna Neiquist.
Favorite Movie: (Outside of LOTR/Narnia movies) My Big Fat Greek Wedding. What can I say? I love an underdog.
My dad calls me ‘Bear’, My mom calls me ‘Peanut’, my sister calls me ‘Fart Blossom’, and my campers called me ‘Sprinkles’. Most people just call me ‘Jen’. So basically, just yell “HEY YOU!” and I’ll answer.
I really love mugs. And hugs.
I have never watched all of Forrest Gump because of how many people quote it to me.
