I spent the past month with the most beautiful children I have ever met. Some of them come from the darkest places and have the saddest family stories you could ever imagine, but despite that, they are full of life and love and just want to play like any other child. They showed me that God really can redeem anything, no matter where you come from. They also showed me love in one of the purest forms I’ve experienced. They loved me without hesitation and demanded my affection because some of them have never received positive affection from an adult. My heart truly broke for these children, but was then overflowed with God’s goodness and grace for His children.
While at El Shaddai, some of my squad mates worked to make a website for the ministry and to set up a sponsorship program. El Saddai is currently funded by a few donors but they really want to work to be privately funded and self-sustaining. Please check out the website and prayerfully consider supporting one of these children or the ministry as a whole. This place truly changed my life and I believe it can change yours if you become a part of it. God is working here and I can’t wait to see what He does in the future.
