Some of you may have read my South Africa is legit blog…well I accidentally deleted it (its hard postin a blog from a phone haha) so I thought I would just give a recap of what God showed me.

Long story short, we didn’t have a lot to do regarding ministry so we had a lot of downtime. I didn’t really know what to do with that, I didn’t understand why I’d come all this way and I wasn’t serving. Why wasnt I feeling God’s presence? Maybe I had gotten it wrong, maybe I this inane what God had for me…

Through the downtime though my team and I realized that it didn’t matter what we were doing for ministry, it was all serving God and honoring Him. It didn’t matter that my expectations, that I didn’t think I had, weren’t being met because what God had was so much better. I realized that the Holy Spirirt is always there, always with me, even when I don’t notice it. But it’s up to me engage in that moment and accept and acknowledge God’s presence and that will make all the difference. I thought this trip would be a constant mountaintop experience, but its up to me to create that culture and to pursue God’s presence in every moment, whether its a high, good moment or the simple task of cooking dinner. God is there and He wants to meet with me, I just have to welcome Him in.

So here’s to month 2. Here’s to letting to of expectations. And here’s to engaging and pursuing God’s presence in all the moments, big or small.

God is doing some crazy good things and is teaching me a lot. I’m so excited to continue on and see what is ahead. I still need $1800 more to meet my next financial deadline on December 1. Would you consider helping me finish this thing?

Blessings!
