God takes care of HIS children…and coming back to Gainesville, Georgia just over a year after starting the adventure of my life (signing on with AIM with the World Race) is no exception.

There are 14 Alumni Racers (13 of which are from my Squad) staying at amazing Lake Chalet with a family, the Hylton’s, who has become another set of parents and siblings to us. The lake view is gorgeous. A pool and hot tub (which currently has a thin layer of ice trying to form) await us. A small family petting zoo is around the corner, will goats and an Alpaca (which we are hoping to ride at sometime…or at least attempt to, World Race style!) This family treats us as their own. They love on us and want to see us grow and continue to bring Kingdom – not stopping because we are back in the Western World, but stepping it up to make a change and be the change that is seen around us.

I am blessed. I am surrounded by those I love and became great friends – and family – with this past year. To be able to worship together, love each other, pray for each other and share our hearts brings back so much of the community we had during the World Race. I once again find myself in community…and remember how hard it was when I first starting living that way, yet how much it was missed when I went home and didn’t have community around me.

Being at Searchlight is a joy and a blessing. I have already been in tears every day. I am still being wrecked. Being broken. Being changed. I am growing and taking steps towards the Kingdom Dream(s) God has before me.

Last night, I read a passage that spoke to me, and how it fit in so perfectly with what we are doing here with Searchlight. I shared it this morning, during our time of worship – a house church, being moved by the Spirit. It reminded me that it doesn’t matter where we are, or “do” church – but coming together as a body IS church! I pray that this scripture will be a blessing to you as well.

Don’t worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong.
For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither.

Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act…
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or or fret about their wicked schemes.
 Psalm 37:1-7
How easy it is for us to worry and be concerned more with others than what God has in store for us? Searchlight is about Dreaming, and dreaming big. Trust God. Delight in HIM. Commit to HIS ways. Be still. Rest in HIM. Wait…God has perfect timing, in all things!
