I’m in Miami…with H Squad. At the airport. It’s been a long day, but nothing like what I’m about to experience. Saying goodbye was hard…but sometimes the hard things are needed and can become a real blessing. Flight delays. Snowy weather. A flight attendant who was MIA. boarding then de-boarding due to a plane security check…just the beginning of my adventures – yet every flight arrived on time, if not early!
So, here I am exhausted after little to no sleep in almost 24 hours with teammates – guitars, prayers, love, laughter, hugs, tears and more. Lots to catch up on. Lots to share and listen to. SO much joy and excitement fills this room. So many amazing conversations, random conversations – talks about how much our packs weigh, what we forgot (or think we forgot) what our “luxury” item is and so much more.
Right now, a young girl just walked up to us and asked us what we are doing so we are sharing with her about the Race – she saw the blog site a few weeks ago. Through talking with her, her passion for the Race is coming out and is seriously considering applying – how sweet is that!? God is good and is opening doors just by a group of young people sitting in an airport with backpacks and smiles on our faces…guess it’s contagious – the LOVE of GOD, that is!!!
We are all sharing internet connection right now and are rotating sleeping, walking around meeting people and making phone calls while watching bags and loving God!
THANK YOU for your prayers! I’ll be in touch when I can…it may be few and far between, but you’ll be in my heart and are apart of my life!
