Month 6 of my Race was spent in Lithuania. This was my first month being on my own as a squad leader. I was a bit nervous about what it would look like and getting comfortable in the new coat the Lord had placed on me. The team I was with had been together for a month already, so I wasn’t sure how it would look to just join in for the month. But of course they welcomed me in and it was instantly like family!
This team called themselves The Tribe. It was a team full of characters, such loving women, warriors for men, and crazy weird things said that had to be written down because they were worth remembering. So many fun memories were made with this team and I had the opportunity to watch them make a leap in their growth with the Lord. Not only as individuals but as together as a team through the month.

For ministry we worked along side a church that had planted itself about 10 years ago just outside the city side of Klaipeda, Lithuania. The population in Lithuania is only about 2% Christian. There is a very high catholic influence and the influence of atheists growing. This church’s vision was to spread the freedom, love and relationship the Lord promises to have with His people. They were striving to move in the Spirit and be one of literally few churches that seek the Lord aside from religion.
Miesto Baznycia = City Church
We spent a lot of our mornings doing maintenance around the building.
Bonnie going the extra mile cleaning The girls working hard weeding and the windows. yard maintenance.
Scott, we also call him honey badger. We cleaned and organized a room for He cleaned out a heater i believe, making him storage and laundry very dirty. But “honey badger don’t care!
We had fun while doing it of course!
Every Wednesday night the church gathered for prayer.
Some of us joined them in prayer. The rest of us watched the little youngsters so that parents could join the prayer session without disruptions.
Because we were working with a church, weekends were our busiest days. So on Sundays, the 5 of us girls got to teach the church’s Sunday School for ages 4-15.
While the boys got the opportunity to play in the worship band every Sunday.
One of the lessons was about the Fruits of the Spirit. So we had them do a game where the bowling ball was the Spirit and the pins was things that don’t reflect the Spirit.
Here’s a shot of worship practice that would take place every Tuesday evening.
We got some really fun time with the youth group at Miesto Baznycia. We would have youth group every Friday night and sometimes do something on Saturday night with them.
Here, we joined them for a BBQ at one of the girls house. We had great fellowship, food, and fun games.
At the end of the month, we put together a theme night for young adults. We set it all up in the church building hoping to get those that aren’t usually involved or new to the church to come out for have good fun and get to know more people their age.
Our theme was a fancy coffee shop. Plus we had a photo booth set up and creative conversation cards on the tables.
At the end of the month, we were blessed to join in celebration of 7 new brothers and sisters committing their lives to Christ!
It was a great month! One I am so thankful to have in my memory bank and to have grown from! Lithuania and the families at Miesto Baznycia will always have a special place in my heart!
Here is some fun pictures and other things that happened in my month!
Lithuania has GIANT apples! Who knew?!
Even though the sun never really set in Lithuania. (It set around midnight and then rose again at 4am) when it did, it was gorgeous! *this picture was taken at 11pm!*
Brandi and I each made a new buddy! <3
We found really good chocolate! And a place that delivered pizza!!
This is Gabrielle. She was a girl in the youth group who I connected with. I got to minister to her, encourage her to continue coming to church, and she even plays volleyball. So we got to play around with a ball together! Miss her and love her!
Scott and Tyler playing some songs at the bus station.
This was also the month where I became fully funded!!
