Hi, I’m Jenna!
I am overwhelmed with excitement for the journey ahead of me. Its not everyday that you decide to pack up your life in a back pack and be the hands and feet of Jesus. For me this past year life has been good. My season with God has been good. My first year in school has been good. I have a boyfriend who is loving and walking alongside me during this journey. My family stands by me with encouragement. Life is good and God is good. My heart still craved for living justly and serving mercifully. I’ve known that I wanted to serve for an extended period of time but it was just a matter of when. That when is now!
Me, I am an easy going person who loves life. I can be content doing just about anything. I enjoy reading but don’t have a particular author or favorite kind of genre, just a good read. My taste in music is just about the same I can listen to country, pop, alternative and I like them all! Ask me the title of a song or the name of an artist and I’ll give you the causal ‘I don’t know’. I would be a terrible DJ.
I love Arizona! Many complain about the sizzling heat and the lack of seasons but I love the hot sun and being able to wear sandals in January. The Mountains are in every direction which gives plenty of hiking options. Arizona has sunsets! You may have seen a post card or a picture but that doesn’t do justice for the real thing. When the sun sets the sky is painted with many shades of orange and hazy yellow or sometimes the sky looks like a big bundle of cotton candy. It reminds me to thank God for the beauty of his creation and that all things are good through him.
Coffee is my addiction. I currently work at Starbucks and could have long conversations about different beans, processing, drink recipes and ect. A good thing that comes from this addiction is conversation. I love to sit down for coffee or grab a coffee with a friend. It has a sense of universal community. It may sound silly but coffee brings people together or maybe people come together to drink coffee… or both! There is also nothing better than waking up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee.. Yumm!
