Africa.
The promised land.
The beginning of month five.

It's the beginning of month FIVE.

And I'm in Tanzania. Mwanza, to be more precise. Team Rooted is in the second largest city in the country, just on the shores of Lake Victoria. It's beautiful. It's also Africa, and the truth is that I have a lot of expectations coming into this continent. In the past four months I have lost my expectations about food, or lodging. I've lost expectations about how clean I'll be or what my ministry will look like for the month.

But, I have gained expectations that God is who he says he is. And that means that he fulfills promises and does what he'll say he'll do.

The World Race had been on my radar for over a year before I started my own route; I stalked blogs like it was my job. They were what initially drew me to the Race. Racers have been telling God stories and I have read them, gobbled them up, and wanted more. I would sit in my apartment and read stories about healings. Stories about casting out demons. Stories about people coming to accept Jesus as their savior. They were all stories about the Lord, his work, and his glory. I loved them.

Now, it's my privilege to tell those stories.

I expect for the Lord to do huge things in Africa. I expect him to show up in ways that blow my mind and leave me speechless. I expect God to be here, speak to me, and lead me through these next few months. I expect that I, my team, and all of A-squad walk into a new depth with Jesus. I cannot wait to see what Africa holds for me.

But here's the catch. And I will be the first to admit that I don't like catches.

I need your help.

I have seven more months on the Race. Three months in Africa, and then four in Southeast Asia. Seven months to see the Lord work, to be his hands and his feet. Seven months of growing and ministering and living in community with A-squad.

There is more for me on this Race, but I can't stay here without you.

I'm in need of another $3500 to be fully supported.

I would love to have you partner with me in this. Even if it's only $5.00 or $20.00, it helps.
I need you guys.

$5.00 a month for the next seven months is a cup of Starbucks coffee in the States, but if 100 people were able to do that, I'd be fully funded.

I know that the Lord is faithful. I know that he is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. I know that he has more for me here, and I know that through you this money will come in.

So here's to Jesus going above and beyond any expectation I've ever had.
Here's to him providing financially and showing up in crazy new ways in Africa.

This place holds a lot of promise. I'm excited to tell you all about it. Love ya'll, miss you and can't thank you enough for all that you've done for me.
