I officially finished college this past Thursday. Wowzers.

I suppose it isn't technically official until I have a diploma in my hand, but at this point, there is nothing more for me to do. My last exam and paper are over and done with. It's odd to say that I'm done, and it has yet to truly sink in. As students move out and back into apartments and houses all over town, it's surreal to think that I won't be here in a few short weeks. I won't be buying new school supplies, mapping out my walk to class or cheering on our football team. It's bittersweet.

This past year, however, my discipler and I worked on something that she thought would greatly benefit me. She wanted me to have a vision, a purpose for my life. Written words, on paper, permanent ink, she wanted me to state what I was all about. After a lot of brainstorming, prayer, and refinement, I finally figured it out. I wanted to share it with you, so that you know, and along with that, so you can hold me accountable to it. There's a part of me that knows I will never truly and eloquently put everything into words because it is so far beyond me. Yet, here's the gist of it, as best as I know how.

I am alive so that I may glorify the lord, through my words, deeds, priorities, and principles. I want my life to revolve around the Lord and be committed to loving, winning, building and sending other believers to the world for the advancement of the kingdom. I believe that I have been gifted uniquely to bring truth where there are lies, and light where there is darkness. I commit my life to spreading the gospel in word and deed, in all contexts; my desire is to live out my faith, stepping out of comfort into the unknown, following wherever the lord leads, even if it means doing the seemingly impossible.

I desire to seek justice in all situations; to use my passion for justice and truth to untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and to loose the chains of injustice. As I deepen my faith and expand my knowledge, I desire to pass it on to help others grow. I dedicate my life to bringing the gospel to others, to seeking life and to going after more. I want to see this generation and the next built up in truth, grounded in the Word, and on fire for the Lord. I want to be (and am) an agent of change.
