Being on the World Race and not having wifi means we have to walk to somewhere to get internet. We started referring to this as going to “the internet.” The other day some of my teammates went to the internet at a hotel and when the rest of my team went to meet them there we found them talking to a bunch of middle aged women. Turns out they were there to pray over pastors in the DR and teach them about healings and miracles and such. We told them what we are doing and they prayed for us and we in turn prayed for them. They spoke life over us and gave us such words of encouragement! One of the women actually has a niece who is on the Race in Thailand right now. I thought that was crazy until they asked where we are from. When I said Minnesota they all got excited because that’s where they’re from. Then I found out they are from Eden Prairie. Yep, that’s where I lived for 18 years and where my parents still live. Then I explained where my parents live and it turns out the woman whose niece is on the Race actually lives in my parent’s neighborhood and goes to their favorite coffee shop almost every day! Crazy.
