I cannot tell you how amazing the Lord was to me and my team this week. To be honest, I was kind of nervous for the week to come where my team would be here putting on my 5K race in Cincinnati, but He completely blew all my expectations out of the water.
Thank you to all who were a part of this week, and all the support and encouragement that you gave us. Let me just break it down for you…
Monday: the team arrived. we did a Spirit Night at Chick-fil-a. Not many people showed up, but we did meet a family friend who wrote us a check for $200 because she believed in what we were doing…. and we got to eat Chick-fil-a!
Tuesday: we ran a lot of errands and had dinner with my family and friends and got to share our story and meet people who have made an impact in my life. There was a lot of laughter and good food (thanks mom!).
Wednesday: i had the chance to speak at my High School and share the journey that God has brought me on from High School until now and got to introduce my team to a lot of important people. Alumni and parents were able to come which was a great experience. I got to speak and inspire over 400 people! That same night, Ruple got to speak at UC Navigators. This was a ministry group that he was in while he was in college. He did an awesome job speaking! These college students were so generous, they just opened their wallets and gave to us.
Thursday: just a chill day, but a great day spent with my family.
Friday: after preparing for the race we had the opportunity to share at a small group at the Goodwins. it was great to meet new people. they were all so welcoming and interested in what God was doing in kenya… which makes it so easy to share.
Sunday: we had the chance to speak at two churches, Journey Life Center, and Calvary Chapel… the team split up and conquered! We had a great time and both churches ended up tithing to us. Everyone has been so generous. we got to spend the night at Ruple’s house with his parents in Toledo which was awesome!
This week, we profited around $15,000! WHAT??????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing. The Lord told me…”Look what happens when I am behind something…” It was nothing that we did at all. The Lord completely took this in His hand and did way more than I could have ever expected. Thanks to all who gave and were a part of this awesome week. I have NO words to describe how thankful I am.
