As I sit in the AIM office sending out many emails to
possible supporters I sometimes get discouraged in what I am doing. What impact
does this possibly have in the big scheme of things? It seems so trivial and
unimportant and honestly I just keep thinking how much I just want to be in
Kenya doing all the things that we are talking about.
But again…the Lord keeps me in check. We can’t even go to
Kenya unless people are behind us supporting this vision. The Lord has really
been speaking about the importance of details lately. The fact that we are in
the office, sending emails, calling potential partners, writing blogs might
seem ineffective, but it is also a part of the Kingdom work. It’s amazing how
it all works together. The boys are in Kenya, the girls are in the States, but
we are all working to expand the Kingdom of God. So whether you are sitting in
a cubicle, or pouring cement in a 3rd world country you can bring
God glory through it.
These pictures are ones that I look at often and reminds me of
why I am sitting in the office, typing emails. These faces are the faces of
hope. These faces are the future of Kenya. These faces have seen hurt like non
other. These faces are a beautiful creation of the God who created everything.
These faces are why I am writing emails.
Check out our Kenya blog at www.kenya.theworldrace.org and see
what the boys are doing in Kenya. Please keep them in your prayers as they
still have 5 days in country. Also please feel free to leave comments; I would
love to hear from you!
