Hello friends! I’m sure most of you are wondering if I made it to Ecuador alive…Our wifi has been limited:/ To put you all at ease, I have made it safely to Quito, Ecuador. The country is beautiful, along with the people. Almost everything outside of the city is rainforest and mountains.

First things first! I would like to thank all of you for going on this journey with me! I simply could not do this trip without your love, support, and prayers and I’m so blessed by all of you who have invested not just in me, but in this ministry.

Speaking of ministry, let me give you all an update of my life these past weeks! I left for launch on the 7th, which was in Atlanta, Georgia, had a couple days of training, spent some time with my BE-Utiful mother (Hi, Mom!), spent the night in the airport on the 9th, and then arrived in Ecuador the next day! Our ministry is through an organization called “Inca Link.” We stay at their place, “Casa Blanca,” and they set us up with ministry organizations. We have two ministries! Our first is “Camp Hope,” a ministry where we work with special needs kids, most of them orphans. We work there Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 to 1. Our second ministry is teaching English classes at a church Tuesday through Saturday from 3:30 to 7:30. In between ministry we have chores at Casa Blanca. Also, on Sundays, we help out with the children’s church (which by the way, who knew that South American children were the cutest people on earth??)

So all in all, Ecuador es muy awesome and I’m loving being a RacerJ Our ministry is opening my eyes to the heart of God. Our ministry hosts are so loving. The food is the bomb (Especially their coffee and chocolate since they farm it here). The scenery is beautiful. The people are amazing..especially since half of them are shorter than I am, even the guys (for those of you in disbelief, I’m not kidding. I’ll try to post pics, haha). Even the bad days are good days, cause God is always goodJ

Prayer Requests:

–       Health. Some of our squad members have gotten sick this past month. Please pray for comfort and quick recovery for them as well as protection for the rest of our squad. Also, many of us have long work days, so pray for physical strength and energy (I don’t know how Jesus did it while He was here??)

–       – Unity. I’m starting to realize how much pouring into your team and your squad is a must, even when you’re tired. (ESPECIALLY when you’re tired…which can be a lot after long days of ministry). Also, talking to other squad mates, I’ve realized how many of us miss the easy, close communities we have back home. Pray for us to be vulnerable with each other and see each other as family.

–       – Spiritual Growth. I’m so hungry for more of God. Even parts of Him that I don’t understand or make me uncomfortable. I’ve learned I really have to make my own alone time with Him on the Race…Our schedules don’t really have introvert/processing times, so I have to make it a priority to be in tune with God’s voice, Spirit, and Word.

I can’t express how much I love and miss you guys back home. Thank you for being a part of this with me. I’ll be sending more details on my ministry soon, this is just an update for now. Also, if you would like to send me private messages, my email is: [email protected] or friend me on fb!:)

He has called me higher,

Jenn
