I turned 26 in Thailand!
At some point the team decided we should take a mini vacation to Khon Kaen, a larger city about an hour away from where we are living this month. And my teammates decided we should take the trip for my birthday!
The day started with a massage.
Then we went to a buffet for supper and I had mashed potatoes and gravy! It was like being back home!
Then we ended up at a restaurant with an awesome band covering English songs. We danced in our chairs and belted out all of the songs we knew. It was ridiculously fun!
The band sang me happy birthday. It made me super happy!
The next day was my actual birthday. We went back to Maha Sarakham and got ready for worship that night. After worship my team gave me a card and my favorite dessert: cheesecake from the coffee shop down the road. Then one of the guys we have been teaching English to surprised me with a cake!

As an added bonus, I got to skype with both my sisters and my nephews! It was glorious!
It was one of the best birthdays I have ever had, and definitely the most memorable. Thanks Team Doulos for making it so great! Love you guys!
