My pack is covered in red Georgia dust. Just two weeks ago it was sitting practically untouched propped up against my couch. And now it’s been thrown in the dirt, packed and unpacked, drug all over the place, emptied, re-filled, and stretched until I wasn’t sure it could take anymore. After going through all of that it looks a little different than it did a before I left.

That pretty much sums up training camp, and I’m not just talking about my pack.

I spent a lot of time at training camp fighting against lies. Lies that just because I wasn’t experiencing God in the same way others were that I was less than or farther behind.

The worst lie of all was that I was alone in this. It’s amazing how satan likes to convince me that I’m the only one going through whatever issue I’m struggling with. But it turns out so many people on my squad were dealing with stuff as well.

On Thursday night my beautiful F Squad ladies got in a circle to talk about the week, and all of a sudden started opening up. It was like a set of dominos toppling over. One woman was brave enough to start, and then boom, boom, boom, my new sisters started sharing like crazy.

Satan likes us to keep our junk in the dark. But did you know the sun is a natural disinfectant? Stick your laundry in the sun long enough and it can actually make stains disappear, brighten whites, and kill bacteria.

It’s amazing how when you start hanging your laundry on the line in the open satan no longer has control over it. Instead the Son makes stains disappear, cleans the mess, and kills that yucky bacteria that’s been hiding in our hearts.

That’s one of the biggest lessons I learned at training camp. Do your laundry right away. The truth is that none of us have it all together, not even these 54 other crazy people who’ve given up everything to spend a year serving the Lord.

Training camp was amazing, and I am so in love with F Squad. I can’t wait to see where the Lord takes us over the next year!
