Hi!

I am a daughter of the King, saved by grace, and so thankful for my Father who abundantly pardons. This knowledge drives everything I do.

I have spent pretty much my entire life in small-town South Dakota. It was a fantastic way to grow up, but I can't wait to see more of the world.

I'm a reporter for a public radio station, so I basically tell stories for a living. I love that I get to talk to someone new every day, hear stories from all walks of life and share those stories with others. I'm excited for all of the stories I will hear while on the Race, and am excited to share them with you!

I enjoy: reading, writing, (but not arithmetic), travel, learning, chocolate and baked goods, movies, new adventures, and most of all, spending time with people I love.

I have a mom, a seriously strong woman who taught me from the beginning to be content with what I have because Jesus will never leave me nor forsake me. (Hebrews 13:5)

My dad is already in heaven, but I’m super thankful for a great step-dad.

I'm the middle child, smack dab between two of the most amazing women I know. My sisters are my best friends and such fantastic role-models of what it looks like to live for Christ. Seriously, I'm so blessed. Both my sisters are married, so now I have two fantastic brothers as well. And two nephews!

Things I am not so good at: sports, parallel parking, anything else that involves hand-eye coordination and/or good depth perception, and filling out "about me" sections.

I feel like God has been preparing me for the World Race for pretty much my entire life. But that's a whole 'nother blog post.

One more thing: I am completely and totally unqualified for this journey. But God has a history of using unqualified people, and I’m so thankful for that.

"But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
