Thanksgiving Plans and Time to Reflect
As we enjoy Thanksgiving this week, it can be easy to get lost in the rush of things and hard to remember to take time to be thankful in the moment. Now, let’s take a moment to think of what we are thankful for. It can be a milestone moment or a small thing in your life that makes a big difference. (Keep reading below for my special Thanksgiving Challenge!)

What I’m Thankful for
- Family, near and far. Family that is always there for you and family that you make wherever you go.
- That I was invited to a couple of Thanksgiving tables to share the holiday and make memories with new friends in my new city!
- New opportunities- It is great to learn new things and get useful experience that I can use down the road. I am learning lots of new things as I volunteer at my post graduate internship at OneWay Ministries in Chicago-land! I am writing for them, helping to put on their annual Christmas concert, (an awesome event where you can relax and unplug from the world for an evening in God’s presence and fellowship with friends) this event is called Shine, as well as helping with various video editing needs and Communications.
- Being greeted warmly by friends- it lets me know I am cared for and makes me smile! It shows that the smallest things can really go a long way! π

- Technology to keep friends and family closer
- Learning lessons through life’s many ups and downs
- Knowing that I am loved and don’t need to perform to be significant or accepted; that I am accepted as I am and am worthy in Christ, who is molding me and making me to be more like Him, for His glory!
- And, as you may know, I am going on The World Race, an amazing adventure where I will go to 11 countries in 11 months to help orphans, widows, people in need, and give hope to women and girls enslaved in the trafficking industry.

- I am super excited and thankful for your support as I prepare to go on The World Race this July- support means following my blog, commenting, praying for me and giving financially.
- What are you thankful for? π
Challenge Time!
In honor of Thanksgiving, I am giving you a challenge! For the Thanksgiving Challenge, please consider giving $27 or another amount as shown below for Thanksgiving 2014 which falls on November 27th this year. I made a Thanksgiving Table below to make it fun and will update it as you give! Please also take a moment to reflect on what you are thankful for this season and comment below.

Please consider what you are able to give- whatever you can give will go really far and will make a difference towards launching me to the nations. Wherever we are and whoever we are helping, our work and goal will be to show the hope and love of Christ. Please take a moment and prayerfully consider how you can help make this Thanksgiving Table a success and help make a difference as you provide hope and love to the nations and launch me on The World Race! (Bonus: Hints for which countries I will be going to are in the table below!)

Helping the Nations
Whatever you are able to do, you will be doing your part (as I cannot do this without your support!) in helping to send me out on this mission and to be a part of the adventure and this is will make a difference for many people and nations. Please choose your dish you would like to
“bring to the table” to represent your gift (don’t worry, no actual cooking involved π and click on the name of the dish in the table above to give a gift and help the nations.

If you are feeling extra generous and are able to, please consider giving in the categories of Turkey with all the Trimmings, Your Favorite Thanksgiving Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream or even the Thanksgiving Buffet to maximize your donation at the end of the year and get me that much further to starting out on my World Race! I cannot express my thanks enough for how much it means for you to be a partner with me on this adventure. I will be keeping you updated with blog posts, pictures and letters along the way so that you can follow my journey.
You are Loved!
I need your help and want YOU to join in on this exciting ministry adventure and opportunity to go around the world with me serving and loving the least of these: orphans, widows or someone who just needs a reminder that they are loved (By the way, YOU are SO LOVED by the God of this universe- He made the heavens and the earth and He made YOU and loves you so much!)

Through your partnership with me on The World Race, you will be going with me to these 11 countries by allowing me to go and serve through your generous giving. I will be keeping in touch with you throughout my travels and ministry work by giving you updates on what God is teaching me and what work I am doing around the world. Be sure to follow my blog to stay tuned and hear about my past travels teaching English in Asia, including adventures in Thailand!
Please also consider partnering with me monthly, as you would be increasing the difference you are able to make that much more! You can make 12 times the difference! Click here and choose the monthly option to make a monumental difference.

Join the Table and be part of this Life-changing Adventure
Remember, as you give, I will update the Thanksgiving table to reflect how many of each “dish” we have and how much closer you all have helped to launch me on The World Race to help the least of these. (And don’t feel too boxed in by this menu- please give the gift and amount you are able to-it doesn’t need to be exactly the amount shown, you can round up to make it even if you like even numbers. π
Thank you so much for partnering with me in what God has called me to do- you are a part of this journey too and I am excited to have you join me on the start of this awesome, amazing, life-changing adventure!

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Psalm 107:1)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Phillipians 4:6)
Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!(Pslam 105:1)

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. (Pslam 118:1-8)
