Across the globe, every day young lives are sacrificed upon the altar of greed, violence and perversion. Slavery is real, and about one million children enter the sex trade each year. Carl and Laura Ralston heard about a little girl named Nhu who had been sold into the sex trade, and through determination, and God's miraculous help, was removed from the cycle.
After praying to be used for a higher calling, Carl heard God telling him to "Remember Nhu". He and Laura realized that God was asking them to dedicate their lives to preventing at-risk girls from ever entering the sex trade, and disappearing into brothels. In 2005 they started an organization called Remember Nhu that is committed to preventing the exploitation of children in the sex trade industry throughout the world by meeting the physical, educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of at-risk children before the nightmare of the sex trade ever becomes reality. Nhu now serves with the organization that shares her name, working tirelessly to prevent other children from being trafficked. Remember Nhu's approach is to stand up for one child at a time, one family and in doing so, one village at a time.

This month we have been blessed to partner with Remember Nhu in Thailand. My perspective on the child sex industry has been forever changed. Did you know that Children as young a 3 years old are being sold into sex slavery and forced to work in brothels? That’s right! 3 years old! This is not only a problem for young girls. The demand for young boys is growing exponentially! It costs about $1 for each time a child is purchased for sex and are typically raped up to 15 times in one day.
Remember Nhu is preventing this from becoming a reality for hundreds of children. They have established relationships with the chiefs of Northern Thailand’s hill tribe villages. They contact Remember Nhu when they know a family is thinking of selling their child. Remember Nhu provides a healthy and safe alternative. Currently there are 4 children’s homes here in Chiang Mai, Thailand and will be breaking ground on a new home in the coming months. Please pray that the Lord will continue to bless Remember Nhu and the children who call this place home.
