So I didn't really come into this blog with any real planning on what I was gonna write about which, if you've read any of my past ones, is strange cause there's usually a consistant theme all the way through whatever I'm writing on but… God's just good, and I just wanted to publically love on Him for a little while and just get out some adoration and maybe some affirmation for you guys! We'll just see where it goes!
Did you ever think about the deepness and the implications of the fact that the Lord loves (AND likes) you so much that He's completely memorized you?? Like…. the Bible says He's counted every hair on your entire head… I've liked a girl or two in my day….and I know as a man who was raised right, if I've liked a girl, that means I've really committed to her and went out of my way to figure out her likes, dislikes, memorize details etc…. But there's never once been one that I've completely learned about or really remembered everything she's ever said to me… Who's birthday's I've perfectly memorized or who I knew from head to do in the most minute detail physically, personality wise, and spiritually….and yet I'm part of the bride of this Christ who is so fascinated by me and so entirely in love with me that He's memorized me.
Have you ever just kinda stripped away all the doctrinal theological stuff that you've learned growing up and really stepped back and just looked at how much He really really believes in you? Paul says it's important to never thinkin of ourselves higher than we ought…. but then if you look at the rest of his writings…. ya gotta realize that's pretty hard to do within the proper context of realizing it's all from God… Like… He's trusted you with the nations as your inheritance, He's called you a son/daughter, Kings, a royal priesthood, co-heirs with Christ, co-laborers, His beloved, the apple of His eye, planet shakers, world changers, revivalists, saints, new creations…. Those are a lot loftier titles than we tend to give ourselves and yet….He's the one calling us that so who are we to argue?? That's fascinating….sucha level of love, and investment, and seeing past what we believe about ourselves and the value we give ourselves into the level of glory He knows He's put inside of us!
My God's seriously thought everything out….and He's done it in a way that requires me to actually be in relationship and fellowship with Him constantly just so I don't miss it… In the desert, when the Israelites needed water, God told Moses to strike the rock with his staff and water came out. Then, when they had that same issue a second time, God told Moses to speak to the rock but instead Moses smacked it with his staff again and going after principle instead of the voice of God cost him his inheritance in the promised land. I'm learning this with finances for this trip…. I've been on a good chunk of mission trips and various other things of the sort like ministry school, trips, or even just adventures that have required fundraising in the past and not one of them has gone down the way the previous one did. I was all excited cause I was gonna be able to pay this whole trip off out of pocket with my job on the yacht….and then I got out of yachting and suddenly have to rely on God again and it's been sucha great process of relearning to listen for His specific strategies in how to go about this…it's been so different than any other trip so far and while that's frustrating at times, I gotta say that I'm loving learning His kingdom strategies through it all. He's always talking, it's just up to us to figure out how He's going about it at this current season, kinda like one of those old radios that you have to adjust all the settings on to tune in the station to full clarity. Sometimes the issue isn't that we're in a "dry season", it's that we're screaming and He's whispering…or we're whispering, and He's screaming.
May I just say that my God is the master creator? Everybody knows He's the creator but….have you ever taken the time to just really check out His creation? How can you really know He's THE Creator if you haven't really explored His artwork? This is the God who could have just made everything flat, didn't need color, didn't need more than one kind of food, didn't need to make sound, didn't need to make reproduction pleasurable, didn't need to make music, the sense of touch, comedy, etc and yet…. In one day you can drive from desert to mountains, to rivers, to oceans, to valleys, to islands, to canyons if you were really committed. He's made an ever expanding universe, made it so everything has a vibration, or a song, and oh ya…. did I mention that you can't take anything at face value cause He took the time to make things all the way down to a cellular, molecular, and atomic level? Every single day, new things are being discovered that we didn't even know about before…. that's the work of a constant creator!
Everything else God ever made was spoken…. except for you, who were hand crafted, and then literally God breathed.
Well, time for church! Guess that'll have to do for now, stay class San Diego!
