So in
spending so much time with Jesus and asking him to speak to me, he has. He has
opened my eyes to so much. I see things differently, I love differently, and I
forgive differently now. I can do all these things now because before I was
trying to do them on my own but couldn’t. None one can have breakthrough and
freedom in their life when trying to do it on their own. I was trying for so
long to be something I thought was right. Be someone I thought was pleasing.
All the while God was trying to tell and show me that HIS way and HIS plans for
my life were better than I could ever accomplish. Sadly, I was scared to give
up all control to him because I thought that would be me living a boring
Christian life. Oh was I wrong! Living and walking in freedom brings so much
joy, a joy that we can’t get from anywhere else. A joy that other people can’t
even give us.
I have
made so many mistakes in my life. I’m only 26 years old but I have made more
mistakes and messed up more than a lot of people I know. But you know what?
That is ok. God says “In me, all things are made clean again.” That means
despite anything we have done in this world, we have the amazing GRACE from God
for him to FORGIVE us. God sent Jesus, his ONLY son to be brutally crucified
and humiliated in front of everyone just so that when we as humans sin, we can
be forgiven. FORGIVEN!!! When Jesus forgives us that doesn’t mean he wipes it
away for a year or two. It means he keeps no record of us even sinning. When we
keep bringing it up and punishing ourselves it is like sending Jesus to the
cross all over again. He doesn’t even remember sins we committed once we asked
for forgiveness. There is one very hard part to this though. It is forgiving
OURSELVES! Once God has said you are forgiven, we must forgive ourselves. I
have realized in my own walk that this is one, if not the hardest thing for us
to do as humans. We want to keep record of wrongs committed against us and we
even keep record of wrongs we do. How can we do that if we expect God to let
our past go when we can’t. So this is how you do it.
First,
you pray A LOT! You talk to Jesus. Talk to him like he is your closest friend.
We shouldn’t view him as this big voice in the sky. He isn’t. He is our FATHER.
Just like you love your children, he loves us a million times that much. And
when we hurt, he hurts worse. So talk to Jesus and say: “Lord, thank
you. Thank you for all you have done for me. Thank you for protecting me,
loving me, and most importantly dying to save my life. Thank you God for sending
your son to die and save my sins. I confess I am a sinner. I confess I am need
you in my life. COME INTO MY LIFE NOW JESUS. COME ITO MY HEART NOW JESUS!!!!!!
Save my soul and make me a new creation. Wipe away all my sins, wipe away all
my shame, wipe away all my pain. Fill me up with your love, Father. Show me how
to love like you do. I can’t do this alone Jesus, and I confess I need you to
take control of my life. ANYTHING THAT IS NOT OF YOU LIVING INSIDE OF MY MUST
BE GONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS. I love you Lord and I worship you. Thank you
Jesus for the work you are doing in me and my families lives. AMEN !!
It is as
simple as that. In order to ever be happy and live a peaceful, truly happy life
this is how we must do it. It is the best decision you have ever made in your
entire life, I PROMISE. It is crazy because you will be able to sit back and
literally watch things change in your life and in your heart. Sadness starts to
leave you. Disappointment leaves you. God has so many blessings he can’t wait
to pour all over you but he won’t do it if we aren’t living for him. Why would
he if we aren’t loving and worshiping him? God is a jealous God. He tells us
that. This is how it all has to begin. Following him won’t be easy because as
soon as you start living for Jesus the enemy will try even harder to get you
back living for the world. The devil can’t stand us even talking to Jesus. He
loves to hear thanks. He loves for you to talk to him. Tell him everything, I
mean he already knows but he wants to be close to us. At first it may feel
awkward but the more you do it, the more you feel like he is your close
intimate friend.
The
hardest thing to do is to FORGIVE ourselves. Think of the worst, most
discussing thing you have ever done in your life…… really do it now. Ok, even
that thing you just thought of is forgiven and never to be remember by God ever
again. Isn’t that amazing? It is hard for us to comprehend that but it is how
Jesus works. He has so much grace that we as humans can’t understand it. BUT,
we have to ask Him for more grace in order to forgive ourselves. Forgiving
myself didn’t happen overnight. Trust me when I say it takes prayer. I am still
dealing with issues myself but there is so much I have forgiven myself for and
the freedom I can literally feel. Weight has come off me. It’s crazy. You even
start walking lighter.
My team
has been praying for healing and blessings, and for generational curses to be
broken off our families. Prayer works. None of us want to keep living like we
are. It’s time for a change, and that time is now. We are all committed to
doing our part. It’s going to get rough but we can do it. You can be happy
again. Truly happy like when you were carefree as a child. It all starts with
forgiveness.
I want
to express the best way I can that you are WORTH? You are worthy of all the
love God has to give. God loves you just as much as he loves a newborn child.
Crazy, huh? It’s true. He does. When he looks at you he sees his BEAUTIFUL son/daughter
that he created individually. He took time to create you hair by hair, cell by
cell. He knew you before you were even in your mother’s womb. That is how much
he loves you AND MORE! His heart breaks and he weeps when you don’t believe you
are WORTHY. YOU are worthy of other’s love. I don’t care what your past holds.
HE holding no records of wrongs you have ever committed. I, nor anyone has any
right to judge or hold bitterness for anything in your past. You are WORTHY.
You are WORTHY of love. You are WORTHY to be called Jesus’ beautiful son/daughter.
You are WORTHY of respect. You are WORTHY of honor. You are WORTHY of
forgiveness. YOU ARE WORTHY! YOU ARE WORTHY! I can’t tell you enough times. You
are!
You no
longer have to live carrying around baggage of the past. You don’t have to
carry those on your heart anymore. God is the ONLY thing that can release those
things from your life. We let things of our past control us. Sometimes we don’t
even realize that our day to day decisions are influenced by what we carry around
with us from the past. Depression, anger, hurt, pain, weakness, turmoil,
bitterness, and anything else in our lives CAN BE GONE! What if didn’t live
with any of those things? You don’t have to. We are in this together. You are
not alone. You have family that loves you. You have friends that love you. You
have a people that loves you. You have a FATHER that loves you. We love you
because you are WORTHY! You were no accident. You are on this earth because God
wanted you here and he has a plan for your life.
I have a
challenge for you. Once a day, give someone a compliment. We call this
FEEDBACK. But this is going to be positive feedback. It can be telling someone
you appreciate them. It can be saying thank you for something done especially
for you. It can be telling your family you love them, intentionally. ANYTHING
positive. And believe me, it will be hard to do this every day. There will be
some days where you don’t want to say or do anything nice for anyone but
speaking things out loud are so powerful. I really hope you will do this for
me. I’m not asking you because it will be easy but I’m asking because I love
you. And know that other people aren’t always going to respond the way WE want
them to. So when you give your positive feedback, give it not expecting
anything in return. I promise you, it will bring you joy mom. Speak these
things out OK. I know you love me enough to do this. J

are a good person. You are an AMAZING child of God. You are loved. You are
appreciated. You are deserving of all God’s love. Tell yourself these things
when you are feeling down. Ask God to renew your strength when everything seems
crazy and hard. Thank him for any and everything EVERYDAY. Talk to him every
day. Just like we give our bodies food every day, we must take of him everyday
too. I can’t wait to get back from the village and read your response after
reading this and saying aloud all that is up top in red. There is no judgment.
