Hi everyone…… I know it has been a while since I posted a
blog. My sister has scolded me several times because of it. She says she has to
read my team’s blogs to know what is going on. Sad, but this is true. This
short blog is to update everyone on a few things.
Last month I was in Phnom Phen, Cambodia. Our team worked with a
church to remodel/paint/ and clean it. We also taught 3 English classes to
Cambodian students each day. The students were so eager to learn. Because we
are white foreigners the classes tripled in size. Everyone is so amazed by our
white skin. The only lotions you can find contain whitening cream. People would
come up and touch my arm just because it’s white. Strange but I actually got
used to it. (More detailed blog to come about Cambodia )
Now, my team and I are in Penang, Malaysia. This island is full
out culture and diversity. Most everyone here is Muslim and sharing the Gospel
is against the law. Yes, we could go to jail for telling people about Jesus.
The girls and the guys on the whole squad are separated this month. So instead
of just the girls on my team we also are with 10 other girls. It’s definitely a
change. Fifteen girls in a 2 bedroom apartment can be a bit cramped but that’s what
The World Race is, living in community. We have been working with Eden, a
Christian organization that employs physically and mentally handicap children
and adults. They are taught skills and are in a loving Christian environment. The rest of the month we will be working with
children suffering with heart conditions in a local hospital. Also, our team is
working with homeless people at a shelter. We will be feeding their bodies and
spirits. We will have a better chance at ministering to them than others off
the streets.

Please be in prayer for my team. We want so desperately to tell
everyone about Jesus but we are limited. Pray that God provided opportunities
for us and that we have the discernment to know when the right moment is. Pray
for unity over all us girls and clear communication.
Also, please be in prayer that I become fully funded. I have to be
at $10,000 by the end of December. I am at $6, 600 now. God has provided almost
$7,000 thus far and I know he will provide the rest.
