It’s month 2 and I’m in Albania!!! This month is all squad month and we’re working at a camp in Lezhe, Albania!

On the bus ride from Kosovo to Albania (about 2.5 hours) I was surrounded by the most beautiful sunrise in the middle of the mountains. As I was looking at the majestic display of God’s awesome talents, I got my first wave of “holy crap! I’m on an adventure with God!” It was exciting to realize my journey isn’t over at the end of each country. (Thank you supporters for sacrificing so I can be here!) For some reason, last month still seemed like I was on a short-term mission trip. And sure, it was short in Kosovo, but I didn’t go back to Minnesota at the end of last month. And that was a weird feeling.

As soon as I stepped foot on the camp in Albania, I knew God was going to do something awesome in my life while I’m here. I’m not sure exactly what will happen, or how He will work, but I can feel a distinct expectancy in my spirit.

When God does things in our lives it’s usually not comfortable and it really stretches us out of our normal routines, expectations and completely shatters our “God box.”

Example: I had a moment earlier this week in worship when I felt like God wanted me step out into a greater place of faith and I said “no.” It’s not a shining moment for me, and I highly regret it. But I share this so you know how God is trying to change me (despite myself) and so you will know how to pray for me. I want to follow God wih reckless agandon. I mean, if I’m not going to follow Him, I should have just stayed home. But I know that God called me here, and He called me into some hard places for a reason.

So, as I’m here in Albania, figuring out what God wants to teach me here, please pray that I say “yes.” Pray for obedience to step into whatever or wherever God leads me and boldness to pursue Him on a deeper level.

I’m so excited to be here on this journey and I’m blessed every day to serve a God that so passionately loves me and wants me to know Him more. God is good!
