It was a nice hot Saturday in Phuket, Thailand and I wasn’t
sure what I was going to do on my day off.  All I knew was that I didn’t want to go anywhere new Bangla
Road where we did our ministry all week.
Fortunately for me that day a group of YWAMers were going to the beach
so a few of us World Racers tagged along.

I love swimming.
So when I go to the beach, I spend as much time as I can in the water
not in the sand.  While relaxing in
the waves, I glanced over to see my new friend Jacob in conversation with a
random stranger.  I’m always up for
meeting new people so I joined them.
Come to find our his new friend was from Italy and traveling alone
around Asia.  We had a lengthy talk
about our passions of traveling, meeting foreigners,  and photography.
Jacob and I shared with him about what we were doing in Thailand on
Bangla Road.  At the end of the day
we exchanged email addresses so we could be friends on Facebook and continue to
share photos with each other from our travel adventures.

A couple days later, I got an email through Facebook from a
girl I did not know.  In her email
she said, “This may seem vary random…but I was just talking with someone you
met recently about volunteering in/around Phuket and he mentioned that you may
be able to put me in touch with an organization?â€  I knew instantly she had met Alex and that he had told her
about SHE ministries.  I emailed
her back the contact information for SHE and a week later she walked through
the door.

I love these divine appointments from God.  He knew that I needed to meet Alex who
would meet Kim who would volunteer at SHE.  It seemed random at the time, but  it was all in God’s perfect plan!
