So after months of anticipation, hard work, laughs, tears, excitement, pain and prayer I am finally here.
!!!WORLD RACE JULY 2013 LAUNCH!!!
It seems so surreal that I am finally here in Atlanta starting this crazy journey around the world. I remember when I first found out about the world race and how I would spend hours staying up late at night stalking blogs of current racers. Watching video blogs and reading the thoughts of racers made me want to experience this amazing journey for myself. But when you’re reading the blogs you don’t quite understand what it feels like to actually be there in the moment. And now, I am having MY moment. And I will be honest, It has not sunk in yet. I don’t feel like I am leaving the country for 11 months. Truthfully, I feel like I will be headed home in a few weeks to be with my family and friends once again. I don’t know why it hasn’t hit me yet but I praise God for the peace He has given me.
It took a lot to get me here. I owe a great debt to everyone who has encouraged me and supported me in anyway. From prayers to encouragement and financial support, I am above and beyond thankful for the special people God has placed in my life. The support I have received has been overwhelming and my heart is blessed to know that I am loved.
There is so much spiritual warfare that takes place when you decide to follow Christ and set out on a journey like this. I have been through every emotion you can think of. From excitement to nervousness to sorrow to joy to anxiety, I have experienced it all. But the prayers of the righteous availeth much and I have truly felt covered in prayer these last few day leading up to my departure. The peace of God has overtaken my life and I know that I am His and He is mine.
So I thank you all once again. It is my goal to keep everyone up to date with my adventures and journeys. Im also attempting to get my youtube page up and running so I can share some funny videos.
