Friends and Family,

I put this post on our September 2010 Team Blog site, where all of my World Race teammates and I are connecting. And I thought it would be a great thing for you guys to participate in as well! It is merely on a volunteer basis, but I would love to have your prayers for these next 6 months and beyond to put wind in our sails, swiftness in our feet, and power in our words. Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement!

So from reading the time slots that people suggested, I've decided that we should make Mondays and Thursdays our prayer days. We won't have a specific time slot, since people's schedules are all different. However, I would like everyone to set aside an hour on either Monday or Thursday for themselves to pray for our team and this amazing trip ahead. So you choose which day is best for you! In addition, I want to recommend to you to also fast from something on that day and offer it up as a sacrificial offering to the Lord. It is not mandatory, but it could make your prayer life more intimate and cause you to draw closer to the Lord by relying on His strength and not your own.

"But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast
all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Cor. 12:9)

The Plan
  • Choose a Day to Pray (Monday or Thursday)
  • Choose a Time to Pray (1 Hour Time Slot at Any Hour of the Day)
  • Pray for Things Specifically (Teammates, Supporters, Leadership, Countries, Ministries, and the People We'll Encounter)
  • Fast (Choose One Thing for that Specific Day — Food, Soft Drinks, TV, Internet, or Anything Else You Can Come Up With)
  • Change It Up (Pray Scripture, Sing Scripture, Pray in Tongues, Play Worship Music, or Pray With a Teammate Over Skype)
If anyone has anymore suggestions please let me know and we can add it in. Also, I'll be posting specific scriptures later on that are great to pray over us and the Church. I am so excited for what God has for us and how he is preparing us in this season!

"To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him,
according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Thes. 1:11-12)
