Hello. My name is Jayshree and I’m 23. I’m originally from Houston,Texas but have also had the privilege of calling San Fransisco and Austin home. Graduated in 2014 with my BA in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin and seeking to enter med school in the future. I am South Asian and being subject to foreign cultural contexts has taught me the importance of cultural identity, social justice, and racial reconciliation- topics I frequently try to engage with (S/O to BKK gang). In a constant process of learning how to love and listen well.

Interesting facts about me:

I inherited my name from my grandmother, who was Hindu until she converted upon marrying my grandfather (grace always a relentless, redeeming story)

My love language is quality time, and my (over-simplified) personality is ENFP.

I have an infectious, incredibly made-up vocabulary. You’re most likely to catch yourself speaking my lingo soon enough.

Coolest sport I have ever been a part of is pole vaulting. I also enjoy Bollywood and Hip-hop styles of dance.

I appreciate the art of photography most notably in the realm of visual anthropology, where visual representation allows me to study humanity and culture more intimately.

Feel free to contact me and ask about the current adventure God is inviting me into.
