To start this off, I’m not great at blogging and, if I’m honest, the fact that people will be reading this is somewhat intimidating. But I’m gonna give this a shot and pray that some good will come from it!

So as you’ve probably realized, I am going on the World Race, which I am pretty stoked about. I will be backpacking through 3 continents, 3 different countries for 9 months. I’ve always wanted to travel, experience the different cultures and “see the world” essentially, so for that dream to actually be coming true is a little bitter-sweet.

I believe everyone is called to love and I can do that here, in Johnstown, just as well as the other side of the world. So I don’t think you have to leave home to represent God. Sometimes living a radical life means staying behind your work desk, eating food with your friends and family and just being fully present wherever you already are. Being a light doesn’t require being in the darkest places, it just requires you.

Having the opportunity to follow my heart while being in several different places has blown my mind. The way God orchestrated this trip in the perfect timing has me in awe. I don’t have a clear vision of what I will be doing but I know it requires me to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Some days may consist of holding innocent children, crying with the sick and piecing together broken hearts. And some there will be rejoicing, celebrating and joy.

So if you are willing to be apart of this adventure and feel that this is a way for you to be a light, I am asking for support. But more importantly and honestly, I am asking for prayer. Specifically for strength, provision and motivation.

I praise Jesus so much for each of you who read this! I genuinely love you people and thank you so much for being a light to the lives around you 🙂

“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.”
