Seated on a street corner waiting for a bus that is an hour late to take us to an unfamiliar city 6 hours away. Knowing that the bus does not have a bathroom and I have already pooped in my pants once in the last 12 hours and the guy sitting next to me has puked 4 times in the last 12 hours is quite discomforting. Putting complete faith in God that He will turn off the faucet in my pants and sew Phillips mouth closed for 6 hours is a bit of a struggle. But for those who know God, that wasn't a problem for Him. We made it to Hyderabad effortlessly.
So of course being in Hyderabad our main focus was to figure out the lost passport situation, not knowing that God was going to return the lost passport later the same day back in Ongole. God was clearly telling us that our team was being divided for 10 days because of His greater plan and He needed Phillip and I in Hyderabad for His kingdom.
Grasping that concept isn't the easiest thing I have ever done. Especially when God says, "I need you to preach the word to the men downstairs." I woke up Wednesday morning and was informed that in just a couple of hours I would be preaching in the basement to 20 young men who speak very little English. Although I would have a translator I needed to keep my English as uncomplicated as possible. So I prayed for divine spirit to fill me with wisdom and knowledge.
Silly me, I still thought I could pick what I wanted to preach about. So I went to Daniel thinking that maybe this was why God called me to Daniel; so I could tell his stories. But God said NO, that would be too easy since you just finished studying him. So instead God said, "Why don't you talk about Job, you don't know that story as well. This way the words you speak won't be yours, they will be mine." I agreed to full submission to Gods words, therefore I turned to Job, knowing that none of what I was going to say was Jason.
I was led to speak about how Job was the most holy man in his time and how he was attacked by Satan but kept his faith in God. God used Job to show Satan that he was powerless and his actions were pointless. Afterwards he was mad at God and told God he wasn't doing a good job. God put Job in his place and told him about all these weapons He had stored up in heaven to fight wars that Job didn't know about. I had a vision of these 24 men as weapons that God has been storing for the war going on here in India. I told these men exactly what I had seen. I was led to tell them that there work is kingdom work and the bigger they make the kingdom the more worthless the devil becomes. Just like Job, God is using India and all of its ungodly things to one day be restored as His kingdom and prove to Satan that his actions are pointless. And it is through these warriors for God that this will happen.
We then spent about an hour worshiping with them and calling them into Gods army. We prayed over each young man as he goes out to fight for Gods name and kingdom to reign over India. So yeah, pretty powerful stuff. Working at the orphanage was great and all for the glory of God, but it never felt like the work that God need me to do while in India. But in the moment that we witnessed God calling into creation an army before my eyes, I felt the Holy Spirit fill that room and Gods promise of a plan for me from 3 years ago fulfilled.
I AM A MISSIONARY WITH A CLEAR PURPOSE!!
As He leads me,
Jason
