Im in the process of a reading a book called Jesus is ____. The first few chapters are a great representation for who and what Christ is all about! LOVE! As I prepare to go overseas and share the good news of Christ, there is no better news for the ears than GOD LOVES YOU! Yes YOU. In the big scheme of things God doesnt care that you are a sinner, because Everyone is a sinner. You’r pastor, you’r best friends, you’r parents, and the “typical” addicts, dealers, rapists, and murderers. God sees sin as sin and puts people in two categories according to the Bible: People who think they are righteous and people who know they are sinners. The common denominator is that we all need help, and we are all in this together. The worst thing we can do as christians is judge others for their sin, when in most cases we used to do that same thing. This world doesn’t need more judgement, this world needs Love. Christ came to earth and only hung around the “bad” people of the day; Mathew was a despised tax collector, as was Zacchaeus. Jeses accepted them both, and showed them both Love. He showed them that he wasnt there to condemn them. He was there to extend his helping hand, not to fix them but to show them Love and friendship. He knew exactly who they were and what they did for a living, and He still wanted to love them, to talk with them and show them that He was there for them. Thats the kind of love I want to show while on this race. To be honest I dont know much scripture and cant recite it to save my life. But one thing I do know is LOVE. The kind of love that doesnt judge, doesn’t condemn, but shows that nothing someone can do is unforgiveable, and the the Lord of Lords and King of Kings wants to be there for them regaurdles of the life they live or have lived. GOD IS LOVE! Thats the message I want to send to all nations more than anything else. His love is neverending, and His grace covers ALL. Being a sinner doesnt mean Jesus wants nothing to do with you until you change. Being a sinner is a prerquisit to receiving the Love of Christ. He came to seek and save the lost, not those who think they are righteous according to this world. LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE!
