Today I watched videos. I read blogs. I realized that brokeness in this world is deep. All over the world people need to hear the good news. They need healing. They need to be deeply loved. They need to know that they are cherished and chosen and loved. They need to SEE God work. They need to FEEL Him move within them. They need to see the kingdom of Heaven COME right where they are. They need to FEEL Him right where they are. In the middle of the dark alleys. In the middle of brothels and red light districts. In the middle of bars. In the middle of their homes made of cardboard and mud. In the middle of dumps where they try and find their next meal. In the middle of their struggles. In the middle of their addictions. In the middle of their 10 million dollar homes. In the middle of traffic. In the middle of their Starbucks run. In the middle of their selfishness. In the middle of their success. In the middle of the failures. In the middle of their hurt. In the middle of their pain. They need Jesus.
They need to know about the Man that was sent to set them free. The Man who has called them loved and calls them sons and daughters. The Man who restores. The man who loves forcefully. The man who has given them purpose. Then Man who died so that we may live and live abundantly.
There are millions of people who have yet to even experience let alone hear the Good news we call the Gospel. Isaiah 52:7 says, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” How beautiful are the feet that Go and Proclaim the Good news. Not just mine, but yours! How beautiful is it that God calls us to ALL proclaim His goodness all over the world. In your city, in my city and to the cities where we have yet to go.
I want to invite you on this journey along with me. To the countries of Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Jamaica, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Nicaragua. But not just those but to the cities of Midland, Odessa, San Antonio, Arlington, Waco, Abilene, Jacksonville Florida, Houston, Dallas, Lubbock. Life is a mission field. We are ALL CALLED.
