I pray that you are doing well and feeling God’s powerful love being poured out on you! It has probably been a while since we have talked, I apologize for my absence. I am so excited to share my heart and my future plans with you!
In 2010, I went on my first mission trip where I encountered God’s love for the first time and completely fell in love with missions. Every summer I found myself wanting to go and serve more and wanting to abandon my ways like never before. Fast forward to December of 2013 I found myself packing up my entire life and heading to San Antonio to help start Luminous Church. After being here for only 5 months, I almost packed up my bags just to go back to my comfortable life surrounded by the familiar. I vividly remember sitting on my couch crying out to God about not being able to see my purpose anymore. It was then that I saw the invitation sent by Him to travel on the narrow road and an abandonment filled lifestyle.
I am ecstatic, excited, thrilled, elated, joyful and so much more to announce that I am going on the World Race(WR) in August 2016! The WR is an 11 month long mission to 11 different countries. If I can take a snippet from the World Race website, “It is a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve “the least of these” while amongst real and raw community. It facilitates discipleship through the process of discovering into the abundant life He promised. It births partnerships with ministries around the world. It requires Luke 10-like faith.” My heart is pounding at the realization that God has called me to go to 11 countries and share His love with His people.
I know you have a few questions. I’ll start with the one’s that are most common. Where are you going? The 11 countries that are listed are Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Of course my route is subject to change at anytime and I will update you on all of that good stuff. What am I going to be doing there? In different countries they have different places for us to serve. Since I’ve never been I would say that most importantly I’m going to go, love and serve people as Christ guides me to do so. How much is this going to cost? I’m so glad you asked that question! I’ll tell you soon. Why am I writing this letter to you? I’m glad you ask that too! I have never gone anywhere by myself. When I went to Honduras and India I had a giant support team. Even when I moved to San Antonio physically by myself, there were so many people praying and supporting me, and that is what I am asking for again.
This trip is not the cheapest, but I serve a God of infinite numbers in His bank account. If you would like to support me financially, that is wonderful! If you would like to support me by being on my prayer team, that is fantastic! I need both desperately.
You have a large part in helping me go to the nations. By your support, you are allowing us to both be world changers!

Thank You and God Bless,

Jarren Templeton!
