Turkey!
This is one of the countries I look most forward to going to!
Location: South East Europe, north west middle east.
Major countries bordering: Greece, Bulgaria, Syria, Iran, Iraq
Also borders the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and the Black Sea to the North.
Some Interesting Facts:
99% Muslim
Religiously free, however, much oppression for non-Muslims
Formerly a main part of the Ottoman Empire
From learning that the word for “Lion” in Turkish is “Aslan”, I find it funny that all CS Lewis was calling Aslan was the great lion. Which is in fact, what he was. (Not represented)
Turkish hospitality has it that a guest that shows up at their door is Gods guest for three days.
Some reasons why turkey is on my tops list!
It’s in the Bible!
– Many ancient towns Paul stopped in during his Missionary Journeys were in Turkey!
It has such a variety of Geography!

– Might be the hardest month for ministry, however also might be one of the most rewarding!
– Can’t wait to see what God does during this month!
– To be able to encourage the small percentage of Christians living here.
– They face challenges every day, we can’t imagine.
Some Prayer Concerns:
– Like always, the language barrier will be something to pray for.
– The struggle of not knowing the language
– That God will use us even though we cant communicate well with words.
– That we stand strong in the face of whatever we face.
– That we are able to help the ministries however we are needed.
