Almost one year ago I was sitting at home reading blogs about the world race and training camp. What it was all like and how it looked to really be apart of. Now here I am an thinking of it, my mind is blown, but I'm really here. I am in Georgia with the AIM staff on my last full day of training camp. I wish I could write a blog that conveyed training camp. That would give you as readers a glimpse of what this week has been like.

Some words from the week that come to mind.

  • Broken
  • Freedom
  • Found
  • Shattered

Training camp is a week of breaking you. You most likely won't understand what I mean until you experience it yourself, if you ever do the race. It is a crazy experience where you find freedom, you begin to find yourself. You are tested, your put in raw community and you leave the week with a new look at life. I cant imagine how I will view the world and life after the actual race.

You can't really write a blog to justify training camp, all I can say if your going on the race, be ready to be blown away an changed. If you are comfortable and happy with who you are and your life and don’t want change, you may not be cut out for it. If you are ready to be shaken up and molded into a true child of God, then jump in an have fun.

My squad has always refereed to each other as family, cause we are. This week we became true raw honest family. We confided in each other, cried with one another and shared insanely close sleeping quarters. We relayed on one another, in every way possible.

The amazing women of F squad broke chains this week, and as they chanted loudly and boldly Thursday night “we are free, now we fight” they shook the ground of training camp, they woke people up and with out a doubt they made any evil flee. These women are amazing, beautiful, an wonderful sisters, and daughters of Christ. The men of F squad came together to support one another to seek to truly decrease in our lives and for Christ to increase.

We are a real family all 55 of us and life, well it will never be the same.

PS: to F squad, your amazing family and I am beyond ready an pumped for what we are about to embark on. To the wonderful women of F squad your amazing daughters of Christ an amazing sisters, I can't wait to see the work you will do an serve along aside you. You all are most defiantly ready to fight an I'm honored to be with you all. To the men of F squad you all have amazing hearts your support is like no other. I can't wait to see how we will work an to see what the Lord has in store for us. I love you family, an with that said I have one thing to add.
