I hear many questions about the world race on a regular basis. None of them do I get sick of, I love telling people about the amazing journey I'll be going on. So people ask why am I going? How did I end up with this organization and why this?

Well it's simple really, why am I going? Because it is what we are suppose to do, the Lord wants us to go to the nations and spread the Gospel. So it really is simple, I'm going because the lord has put it on my heart, and he tells us to. I mean we are suppose to be obedient to the lord and what he calls us to.

Mark 16:15“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

I never anticipated being on the mission field, I never thought I'd have any desire to. Then a total series of random events brought me here. To see that in realty this is where I feel the Lord wants me and this Is where I want to be. I got to do a few little things, with my church and I really enjoyed it. I then remember seeing disasters on the news, where they needed people to come help in any and every way they could. I thought I would want to do that, I would want to go and help these people. I had NO CLUE how or where to start though, not long after this a bulletin was at my church. For disaster relief training, so of course I jumped all over the chance to go. I go and got my training and shortly after, I was in a disaster helping pulling tree's off homes and cars. Doing whatever we had to do to help these people. In the midst of it though sharing the gospel.

To not take all your time from you, I ended up spending time in several disasters and helping minister to many people who where in some of the hardest times of their life. I knew while I was spending time on a mission in Vermont that mission work is where I wanted to be where I felt the lord wanted me to be. So I wanted to do something more long term, when I came home from a mission trip in July of this year, I found a old business card for a local girl who went on the world race.

I knew nothing about the race or AIM but I checked out the card and the site, I prayed and read a lot. After much consideration and prayer I applied, for the world race. I was accepted and I'm on a great squad that leaves in July 2012. We have already become like family, and I cant wait to travel among the nations for a year with this great family.
