Not surprisingly, I am many months behind on a post. I let the busyness of life keep me occupied and distracted from being intentional with my time and sharing how God is working in the world and through me. It does not seem that long ago that I was boarding a plane in Georgia on my way to San Jose, Costa Rica. So much has happened since then. So much growth has taken place.

To sum up my time spent in Costa Rica, it was phenomenal. My team and I were partnered with a ministry called Conexion Ministries, which was based out of San Jose. The man that started the ministry, Jherson, is one of the most inspiring and devout men of God I have had the privilege of getting to know and work with. The hosts that we stayed with, Beth and Bryan, and now considered family by me. While living, and working with them we helped build a house in one of the more impoverished areas of San Jose, conducted a medical expedition into the rain forest to help one of the indigenous tribes still in Costa Rica, and taught English at several schools surrounding the capital.

The Lord helped open my eyes to what other parts of the world are like and drove home the message that all people are His children. That He has a love that is above all else. A love that brings grace and mercy with it, that we may be forgiven and have the opportunity to spend eternity with Him.

Sharing about myself might not be my forte, but to not share what God has done for me and how he is working around the world would be a shame. I apologize for being so lackadaisical about keeping all of you whom have made this opportunity for me not just a possibility, but a reality, informed. To the countless people whom have supported me through prayer, financial assistance, and encouragement, I thank you. God is so amazing and he is continuously working through each of us to grow His kingdom. This blog might only cover a snippet of what I have experienced so far, but it is a start and there will be more to come soon.
